7.6 Less of Me

I dearly love the Tishrey season, but I do not like what it does to the numbers on the scale or the number of hours of sleep that I get for that matter! So the fact that I am 3.8 pounds down could be a whole different story by the end of the week! I'm going to try and make sure that doesn't happen. Key word here is try.... my will power is significantly weaker around stuffed cabbage, cranberry nut bread, home made challah, and all the other yummy things on my menu!

Once the yomim tovim are over, I'll be back to a regular program and regular blogging about it. I might even start with weigh watchers again. Anyways good luck to all of you out there in the same boat as me. I do have a really good tip that worked really well last year for me. (I lost weight over last tishrey). Make a plain vegetable to have at every course, or use a fat free dressing on it. So have a big salad with fish and a huge bowl of green beans for the main course. that way you can snack on that during the conversation instead of the other things at the table. Oh, and change up the veggies so you don't get bored. Another good way to get veggies in is to roast them. A shpritz of oil, salt and pepper, and into the oven at 400 until they start to crisp. You can do green beans, squash, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots etc etc that way. Yum!!
